Medicare Advantage Plans, sometimes called Part C, are health plan options that are part of the Medicare program. If you join one of these plans, you generally get all your Medicare-covered health care through the Medicare Advantage Plan.
A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
If you have Original Medicare and you buy a Medigap policy, Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare-approved amount for covered health care costs. Your Medigap policy pays its share.
You can sign up for Part D Prescription Drug Plans, which helps cover prescription drug costs, along with other components of Medicare starting three months before your 65th birthday, or if you are under 65 and eligible for Medicare.
There are different types of Marketplace health insurance plans designed to meet different needs. Some types of plans restrict your provider choices or encourage you to get care from the plan’s network of doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and other medical service providers. Others pay a greater share of costs for providers outside the plan’s network. Here is an overview of the types of marketplace plans available to you.
Term Life insurance is life insurance that you pay for during a specified length of time or term – generally one to 30 years. You select the amount of the death benefit or face amount to meet your needs.
Burial insurance or final expense insurance is a basic life insurance policy that covers people until they reach the age 100. It is an easy insurance to obtain. Depending on the policy, burial insurance or final expense insurance gives your family the ability to cover the expenses of a funeral and potentially other outstanding expenses.
Umbrella insurance is designed to give you added liability protection above and beyond the limits on your homeowners, auto and other personal insurance policies. With an umbrella policy, depending on the insurance company, you can add between $1 to 5 million in liability protection. This protection is designed to take over when the liability on other current policies has been exhausted.

Dr. Barnard observed first-hand the detrimental financial impact his patients experienced following their treatment. Too many of them were putting their recovery at risk by forcing themselves back to work too soon just to pay the bills.
